Job summary

Gewis Engineering India in Pune invites an IoT/Automation engineer to design hardware for remote monitoring, develop firmware on Raspberry Pi, and implement Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT.

The role requires 1–4 years of IoT/automation experience, a electronics degree, and hands-on PCB wiring, with in-person work in Pune.

Qualifications

• BSc/ MSc/ BE/ BTech in Electronics or related field.
• 1–4 years IoT/Automation experience.
• Knowledge of IoT/industrial automation is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop IoT hardware for remote monitoring systems.
• Program microprocessors (Raspberry Pi) using Python and PLC ladder logic.
• Implement industrial and IoT communication protocols (Modbus, FOCAS, S7, OPC UA, MQTT).
• Create system architectures for IoT edge devices and gateways.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and hardware cost calculations.
• Present models to clients and coordinate installations.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop IoT hardware for remote monitoring systems, including IoT applications with CNC/PLC controls.
• Program microprocessors (e.g., Raspberry Pi) using Python and PLC ladder logic.
• Implement communication protocols, including industrial (Modbus, Fanuc FOCAS, Siemens S7) and IoT (OPC UA, MQTT).
• Create system architectures for integration of IoT edge devices and gateways.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and cost calculations for hardware.
• Present models to clients and coordinate installations.

Eligibility

Qualifications: B.Sc./M.Sc./BE/B.Tech. in Electronics or related field with 1 to 4 years of IoT/Automation experience.

Skills

• Proficient in programming microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
• Experience in electronic circuit design and wiring.
• Familiar with communication protocols (industrial and IoT).
• PLC programming experience (Delta & Honeywell) is a plus.
