Job summary

AlgoLeap Technologies Pvt Ltd. seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and extend scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium (Java), and Cucumber in an Agile setting. You will validate APIs, backend data, and ensure quality releases through CI/CD

This role collaborates with Product, Devs, BI, and DevOps to implement robust testing, improve test coverage, and mentor junior engineers across the QA team in a fast-paced Hyderabad environment.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing Playwright automation from scratch.
• Strong API testing and backend validation skills.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and test automation patterns.
• Exposure to cloud and DevOps environments (Azure/AWS preferred).

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, Java Selenium, Java Cucumber, and modern test automation practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, developing automated test suites, validating APIs and backend systems, and ensuring high-quality software releases through continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.

• Review automation code and enforce testing best practices, naming standards, and framework guidelines.
• Monitor automation execution results, maintain test metrics, and generate quality reports for stakeholders.
• Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA organization.
• Support performance, security, and accessibility testing initiatives when required.

• Exposure to Power BI, Grafana, or analytics/reporting platforms is a plus.
