Job summary

Takeda Bengaluru is seeking a Platform Engineering Senior Professional to partner with business, product and infrastructure teams in a scaled agile environment. You will be passionate about DevOps, reliability, cloud, and CI/CD tooling to enable rapid change.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying infrastructure as code for the Takeda Enterprise Cloud, provisioning AWS resources, and integrating with GitHub Actions/Jenkins. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years across IT disciplines including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration.
• 3-5 years building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, LBs, S3).
• Hands-on experience provisioning AWS resources with IaC, Terraform scripts.
• Strong containerization experience (EKS, OpenShift) is an advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD integrations using GitHub/GitHub Actions or equivalents.
• Mastery of modern DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, enterprise knowledge.

Platform Engineering Senior Professional

As a Platform Engineering Senior Professional, you'll work as technical specialist alongside business, product development and infrastructure teams within a scaled agile environment, continuously managing short change cycles to drive to our future state strategy. You are passionate about DevOps and Reliability engineering, expert on public cloud(s) and hands‑on experienced with CI/CD tooling (GitHub or equivalent like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.). You will design/build/deploy complex, forward‑looking Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and Applications deployed onto the Takeda Enterprise Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design/build/deploy complex, forward‑looking Infrastructure as Code to support the Takeda Enterprise Cloud Platform and Applications deployed onto the Takeda Enterprise Cloud.
• Apply deep cloud infrastructure knowledge with respect to microservices architecture, design patterns, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
• Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives
• Contribute to Takeda’s mission by leading the development and adoption of cloud‑first solutions that deliver business outcomes and drive innovation
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and troubleshoot performance issues by implementing alert strategies for production environments
• Provision AWS environments using infrastructure-as-code and partner with development teams to design a robust deployment and patching strategy
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to provision environments, configure services, and perform capacity planning
• Develop and maintain application documentation according to Takeda Quality Systems and Software Development Life Cycle standards and procedures

Skills and Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, integration.
• 3-5 years of expert level experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, LBs, S3).
• Highly proficient in provisioning AWS resources using Infrastructure as a code (IaC), Hands on experience developing Terraform scripts.
• Strong hands on experience with containerization (EKS, OpenShift) is an advantage.
• Experience with Harness is an advantage.
• Strong in handling CI/CD integrations with GitHub, GitHub Actions or equivalent and deploying infrastructure and applications on AWS.
• Mastery of modern DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline processes.
• Experience with MLOps is an advantage.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
