Job summary

Takeda’s ICC is seeking a senior architect to define the technical architecture and standards for the agentic/GenAI platform. You’ll establish reference implementations, solve the most complex technical challenges, and ensure solutions are secure, observable, reproducible, and compliant with Takeda’s AI-SDLC and Responsible AI frameworks.

You will mentor junior engineers, create developer documentation and runbooks, and drive platform reusability while embedding governance and risk controls

• Solve the most complex technical challenges across the platform stack.

• Establish technical standards and design patterns for platform components; create reference implementations.
• Solve the most complex technical challenges across the platform stack independently.
• Make critical technology decisions (framework selection, architecture patterns, performance optimization).
• Build and maintain core platform capabilities with production-grade code quality.
• Establish guardrails (HITL, prompt/version lineage, audit logs, reproducibility) through technical implementation.
• Define and enforce code quality standards, testing strategies, and observability patterns.
• Embed Responsible AI controls into technical architecture and maintain decision logs.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers on complex problems.
• Create developer documentation, runbooks, and reference examples for platform adoption.
• Drive platform thinking and reusability through design.

• Maintain a comprehensive decision log and technical standards documentation.

Technical Enablement

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to more junior engineers on complex problems.


• Create developer documentation, runbooks, and reference examples for platform adoption.


• Drive platform thinking and reusability through technical design.
