Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in Chennai is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer focusing on automotive plastic trim design, with hands-on CATIA V5 experience and knowledge of GD&T. You will work on door trims, materials, and injection molding processes, taking ownership of tasks and collaborating across global teams.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality design deliverables and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in automotive plastic trim design (preferably door trims).
• Strong expertise in CATIA V5, Teamcenter & Vismockup is a plus.
• Knowledge of plastic materials and injection moulding processes.
• Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and drawing standards.

Domain Knowledge:

• Education Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
• Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in automotive plastic trim design (preferably door trims).

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in CATIA V5, Teamcenter & Vismockup is a plus.
• Knowledge of plastic materials and injection moulding processes.
