Team members join an environment that values progress, curiosity, and impactful engineering.Role Description The person in this role will develop, optimize, and support plasma-based semiconductor processes, working closely with cross-functional engineering and R&D teams. Daily responsibilities include configuring and testing plasma equipment, analyzing process performance data, troubleshooting technical issues, and documenting findings and best practices. The Plasma Applications Engineer will collaborate with design, electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate plasma systems into customer applications and internal prototypes. The role also involves supporting customer evaluations, preparing technical reports and presentations, and contributing to continuous improvement of plasma processes and related tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in COMSOL Multiphysics, particularly the Plasma Module and related Multiphysics modules.
  • Hands-on experience with ANSYS for electromagnetic and thermal simulations.
  • Solid understanding of plasma physics, sheath characteristics, charged particle dynamics, and plasma-material interactions.
  • Experience in calculating and interpreting IEAD, IEDF, and IEADF for semiconductor processing applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Develop and validate CCP/ICP plasma simulation models using COMSOL.
  • Perform plasma, electromagnetic (EM), and thermal simulations for semiconductor equipment.
  • Evaluate the impact of magnetic fields on plasma behavior and uniformity.
  • Generate simulation-driven recommendations for process, equipment, and design improvements.
  • Collaborate with Process, Equipment, and R&D teams to support technology development.
  • Present technical findings and support engineering decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
