Qualifications

• Experience: 12–20 years in a relevant manufacturing setup.
• Gujarat exposure preferred; exports exposure valued.
• Strong SOPs, processes, strategies with hands-on approach and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
• Optimize processes to maximize efficiency while maintaining product quality.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local laws and permits.
• Lead and motivate a diverse team of supervisors, engineers, technicians, operators and workers.
• Develop and implement plans to achieve production targets and align with company goals.
• Manage resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to meet goals.
• Manage the plant budget and expenditures; address crises promptly.

Job description

Looking for a Plant Manager with strong management skills who would be responsible for overseeingall aspects of plant operations, from strategic planning and resource management to team leadershipand continuous improvement. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise and afocus on achieving operational excellence while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsand fostering a safe and productive work environment.

The position would report directly to the Managing Director of India.

Min 12 to 20 Years of experience in Textile, Chemical, Cement and Paper Industry or a relevant manufacturing setup.

1. Broadly 5-6 plant functions will report into the plant head (Production, Operations, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Utilities, Support Functions)

1. Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. Optimizing processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining product quality.

1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all local laws, regulations, and permits related to the manufacturing operations.

1. Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a diverse team of employees, including supervisors, engineers, technicians, operators and workers.

1. Planning: Developing and implementing plans to achieve production targets and operational goals. Ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and market demands.

1. Resource Allocation: Managing resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials effectively.

1. Health, Safety, and Environment Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and standards.

1. Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with internal stakeholders (such as senior management, other departments) to meet company goals. Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and service providers.

1. Financial Management: Managing the plant's budget and expenditures effectively.
   
2. Crisis Management: Addressing any emergencies or unexpected situations that may impact plant operations promptly and effectively.

Desired Candidate
1. Ideal Candidate – 12 to 20 Years of experience in a relevant manufacturing setup (not necessarily from competition organization). At present the candidate who is a senior Operations/Productions role in a comparable organization scale will be an ideal fit for the role.
2. Preferences Candidates from Gujarat/sufficient experience in Gujarat.
3. Candidate with exports exposure will also be a high value add.
4. Candidate should have a long term approach on creating SOPs, laying out processes, formulating strategies, with a knack of being hands on.
5. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
