Job summary

3P Consultants seeks an experienced leader to head Manufacturing operations in Gujarat. You will direct Production, Supply Chain, Opex, Maintenance and Safety, while shaping strategies to meet price, quality and delivery targets.

You will drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and value creation, and lead an export-focused growth agenda with the right partnerships and capacity expansion.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical/Production and broader business management qualification.
• 20 years of experience with at least 5 years in a leadership position independently handling manufacturing as plant head.
• Experience in manufacturing capital goods / heavy engineered products with a lot of fabrication serving the process industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Manufacturing operations across the plant, including Production, Supply Chain, Opex, Maintenance and Safety.
• Create and implement manufacturing strategies and processes to meet price, quality and delivery targets.
• Aggressively identify, evaluate and implement initiatives delivering continuous improvement, cost optimization and value addition.
• Set strategy to capitalize on export opportunities with the right partnerships and execution to build manufacturing capacity.
• Develop the appropriate organizational structure and resource plans to support business growth.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for direct reports and drive a high-performing team to meet targets.
• Build effective relationships with external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Review environmental strategies and ensure EH&S, manufacturing and quality standards are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Manufacturing operations viz. Production, Supply Chain, Opex, Maintenance and Safety across manufacturing plant.
• Create and implement manufacturing strategies and processes to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and thereby enable the company to compete effectively in the market.
• Aggressively seek to identify, evaluate, and thereafter implement initiatives that delivers continuous improvement, cost optimization and add value.
• Set clear strategy to capitalize on export opportunity with the right execution chops, the right partnerships for enabling exports, and efficiency focus to build manufacturing capacity and make India as an export hub.
• Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans to support business growth.
• Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high-performing team to deliver on the agreed targets/KPI’s.
• Build effective relationships with external stakeholders like business partners, clients, suppliers, government agencies, etc. to ensure the achievement of overall business objectives.
• Review environmental strategies that impact on future ways of operating and implement the same. Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered.
