Job summary

VIATRIS in Indore, India is seeking a capable Electrical Maintenance Technician to support preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and production equipment.

You will troubleshoot panels, motors, drives and control circuits; maintain VFDs and PLC-related systems; perform wiring, installation and commissioning; ensure GMP and safety compliance in a regulated pharma environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP documentation and safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Experience with electrical maintenance in pharma settings.

Responsibilities

• Attend preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical panels, MCC/PCC, motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors and control circuits.
• Maintain VFDs, starters, PLC-related electrical systems and machine control panels.
• Carry out electrical maintenance of OSD process and packing equipment.
• Perform cable laying, termination, panel wiring and equipment installation/modification.
• Carry out inspection and maintenance of lighting, earthing and electrical safety systems.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
• Follow GMP, EHS, SOP and safety requirements during maintenance activities.
• Complete maintenance records, breakdown reports and PM checklists.
• Execute equipment installation, modification, shifting and commissioning activities.
• Carry out basic fabrication, drilling, grinding and fitting work where required.

• Carry out electrical maintenance of OSD process and packing equipment like ;Fluid Bed Dryers ,Blenders, Tablet Compression Machines, Coating Machines, Capsule Filling Machines, Packing/Blister machines
• Perform cable laying, termination, panel wiring and equipment installation/modification.
• Carry out inspection and maintenance of lighting, earthing and electrical safety systems.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
• Follow GMP, EHS, SOP and safety requirements during maintenance activities.
• Complete maintenance records, breakdown reports and PM checklists

• Carry out basic fabrication, drilling, grinding and fitting work where required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of industrial motors and control circuits.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of PLC, VFD and HMI.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP documentation and safe maintenance practices.
