Job summary

Roquette is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor -E&I for its Pantnagar unit. The role focuses on ensuring stable steam production by keeping plant equipment running efficiently, following SOPs and safety standards.

The candidate will oversee calibration, preventive maintenance, and spare parts planning to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Instrumentation with 10+ years in power-plant maintenance, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with SCADA/DCS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Instrumentation is required.
• 10+ years of experience in Power plant maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of Instrument engineering, especially power plant equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and delegate when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production supervisors to achieve maximum and desired capacity production of required quality.
• Perform safety interlock checking and calibration of instruments as per ISO calendar and maintenance schedule.
• Maintain calibration and preventive/predictive maintenance records in CMMS.
• Raise indents for spare procurement and ensure critical spares are available to reduce breakdown time.
• Maintain 5S of allocated area and ensure safe, clean premises.
• Record and analyse repeated/critical problems with RCA and organize corrective actions.

To meet our challenges we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor -E&I within the Manufacturing team to be based at our Pantnagar unit.

Purpose

The purpose of Maintenance Supervisor -E&I is to ensure desired steam output as per defined standard by ensuring equipment are running smoothly. Their mission? The role ensures desired steam production output is achieved as per the plan by following laid down SOP's and safety standards to ensure optimum production is done without any safety incidents and excess use of resources beyond the allotted numbers.

Your experience and talent will make the difference to:

• Coordinate with concerned production supervisors to have maximum and desired capacity production of required quality.
• Should have hands on working experience on Logic & Scada / DCS application for Make: Rockwell / Siemens / Invensys / Schneider).
• Should have knowledge of process instrumentation / calibration for - Pressure / temperature / flow transmitter, pH, conductivity, On-Off valve, Control valves etc.
• Should be able to Perform safety interlock checking / calibration of instruments as per ISO calendar, preventive/predictive maintenance work of plant as per schedule.
• Should be able to forecast critical spares based on his engineering skills & to ensure availability of critical spares to reduce the breakdown time.
• Candidate should be available (24X7) to attend the breakdowns of allotted plant / area.
• Should be able to maintain calibration & preventive maintenance records to adhere with the audit compliance.
• To ensure the maintenance jobs are safely undertaken in line with work permit system.
• Ensure all dept. personnel follow safety precautions.
• Daily checking and reporting of manpower (company / contract).
• Maintain and update the logbook and equipment record sheets in CMMS.
• Reporting to Manager for job done, status of pending jobs, break down if any and spare used.
• Raise the indents for spare procurement especially spare drawn from store.
• Allotment of jobs to technician / fitters.
• Maintaining 5S of allocated area.
• To upkeep the premises clean and safe.
• Identifying critical equipment /systems of allotted area and prepare complete document necessary for day-to-day operation.
• Verification of the expenditure bills / job done.
• To record the repeated/critical problem of allotted area along with RCA and fix a brain storming session after discussion with area in charge/reporting manager.
• Authorized to draw material from stores as per define cost limit.
• To approve the work permit.
• Accountable for breakdown time & it will be key KPI.
• Ensure emergency spare readily available in dept. to increase the equipment availability.
• Follow the work permit system and ensure to perform all the job safely.
• Preparing document of any change made in process lines e.g. new installation, modification of lines etc. for effective FSMS.
