Reliant Packaging Films Ltd. in Haryana seeks a Plant Head / Manufacturing Head to drive day-to-day production across two multilayer cast film lines, lamination, slitting and packing.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong shop-floor presence, production planning, manpower management, quality execution and lean manufacturing implementation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in continuous-process manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills and a track record of improving

Job description

We are hiring a Plant Head / Manufacturing Head for our plastic film manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on factory leadership role with responsibility for day-to-day production, manpower, quality execution, production planning, maintenance coordination, rejection control and shop-floor discipline.

Our operation includes two multilayer cast film production lines, lamination, slitting and downstream packing/dispatch. We manufacture specialized films for medical packaging, food packaging and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Take complete day-to-day ownership of plant operations
• Manage production planning, shift allocation and manpower deployment
• Ensure production targets, quality requirements and customer priorities are met
• Monitor rejection, wastage, downtime and productivity
• Coordinate closely with maintenance, quality, stores and dispatch teams
• Handle operator and labour discipline, attendance and performance issues
• Investigate recurring production and quality problems using structured root-cause analysis
• Develop operators and supervisors and create stronger backup capability
• Improve reporting, shift handover and production accountability
• Gradually implement practical factory systems such as 5S, OEE tracking, visual management, preventive action and Lean manufacturing practices

Candidate Profile

We are open to candidates from our industry as well as adjacent manufacturing sectors.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

• Cast film / blown film
• BOPP / BOPET / flexible packaging
• Multilayer extrusion
• Sheet extrusion
• Extrusion coating / lamination
• Polymer processing
• Masterbatch / compounding
• Other continuous-process manufacturing industries

Direct experience in our exact products is not mandatory.

We are primarily looking for someone who has genuinely managed a manufacturing plant or substantial production operation and is comfortable being personally involved on the shop floor.

Preferred profile

• Approximately 10-22 years of manufacturing experience
• Engineering, plastics, polymer, chemical, production or similar technical background preferred
• Strong experience in production management and shop-floor manpower handling
• Experience coordinating production, quality and maintenance functions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
• Comfortable working in a lean, owner-driven SME manufacturing environment
• Hands-on approach with strong ownership and follow-through
• Ability and willingness to learn a specialized manufacturing process quickly

This is not a desk-based Plant Head role. The selected person will be expected to understand what is happening on the factory floor, intervene when required and take responsibility for daily operating performance.

Compensation

Expected compensation range: ₹12 lakh to ₹20 lakh per annum, depending on experience and capability.

For an exceptional candidate with strong plant leadership and manufacturing improvement experience, compensation may be flexible beyond this range.
