Job summary

Bioreform is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for its compostable carrybags and products line in India. You will own daily production, plan weekly/monthly schedules, and overseeBlown-film extrusion, flexographic printing, cutting/sealing and packing processes to meet quality, cost and wastage targets.

You will manage operators and maintenance, ensure traceability, monitor machine performance, and drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and material yield.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in plastics/polymer or related manufacturing discipline (preferred from CIPET).
• Possess CIPET plastics/polymer qualifications or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience in plastics/film production.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for daily factory production.
• Prepare and execute daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
• Manage production across blown-film extrusion, flexographic printing, cutting/sealing and packing operations.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within defined quality, cost and wastage parameters.
• Monitor machine output, productivity, downtime, changeovers and production efficiency.
• Maintain batch/lot-wise production records and traceability.
• Monitor extrusion process parameters and film quality; troubleshoot issues.
• Control raw material consumption and yield; identify waste reduction opportunities.
• Manage operators, helpers and factory personnel; train on SOPs, quality and safety.
• Establish in-process quality checks and investigate defects; implement CAPA.
• Establish preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate material planning with procurement; ensure proper storage of polymers and finished goods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production & Manufacturing - Compostable Carrybags and Products

• Take end-to-end responsibility for daily factory production.
• Prepare and execute daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
• Manage production across blown-film extrusion, flexographic printing, cutting/sealing and packing operations.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within defined quality, cost and wastage parameters.

Plastics Processing & Process Control

• Monitor and optimise extrusion process parameters.
• Ensure consistent film thickness, dimensions, strength and quality.
• Troubleshoot extrusion and film-production issues.
• Control raw-material consumption and material yield.
• Identify and reduce process-related wastage and rejection.
• Ensure correct materials/blends are used for each production order.

Manpower Management

• Manage operators, helpers and factory personnel.
• Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline and shift performance.
• Train operators on machine operation, SOPs, quality and safety.
• Build a culture of accountability and factory-floor discipline.

Quality Control

• Establish and maintain in-process quality checks.
• Monitor film, printing, cutting, sealing and finished-product quality.
• Investigate defects and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality and batch documentation.

Maintenance

• Establish preventive-maintenance schedules for all production machinery.
• Track machine breakdowns and downtime.
• Coordinate machine troubleshooting and repairs.
• Work with technicians/vendors to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure critical spares are available.

Inventory & Material Control

• Monitor raw-material availability against production requirements.
• Control material consumption and wastage.
• Maintain accurate production-to-material reconciliation.
• Coordinate with procurement and management for material planning.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of polymers, additives, inks and finished goods.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Mandatory / Strong Preference

Diploma / Degree in Plastics, Polymer or related manufacturing discipline, preferably from:

CIPET Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology

Relevant qualifications include:

• Diploma in Plastics Technology
• Diploma in Plastics Processing Technology
• Diploma in Polymer Technology
• B.Tech / B.E. in Plastics / Polymer Technology
• Other relevant CIPET plastics/polymer qualifications

Candidates with equivalent technical qualifications and substantial relevant manufacturing experience may also be considered.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

2-4 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in one or more of the following:

• Blown-film extrusion
• Flexible packaging
• Plastic film manufacturing
• Polymer processing
• Compostable/biodegradable film
• Packaging manufacturing
• Plastics processing

Strong preference for candidates who have personally managed:

Blown-film extrusion + film production + production manpower + quality + maintenance.

Candidates with only generic factory, warehouse, logistics or administration experience will not be considered.
