Job summary

AK Construction Materials Nellore is seeking an experienced plant leader to restart and run the AAC block plant in Nellore, overseeing the full process from batching to stacking. The role requires 5+ years in AAC production with 2–3 years in Shift In-Charge or equivalent, and willingness to relocate to Nellore.

You will manage production planning, quality control, maintenance, and safety, while coordinating with boiler operations and contract staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in AAC manufacturing with hands-on process knowledge.
• Ability to lead operators and contract workers.
• Strong troubleshooting for rising collapse, cracks, density changes, defects.
• Familiar with IS 2185 Part 3 AAC testing and records.

Responsibilities

• Restart and run the AAC block plant in Nellore (50 m/day capacity).
• Lead the restart: inspection, trial cycle, then 5 validation cycles.
• Manage batching, mixing, pouring, rising, cutting, autoclaving and stacking.
• Coordinate with boiler operations for steam supply and autoclave cycles.
• Plan daily production against confirmed orders; scale to 2 cycles/day.
• Achieve monthly saleable meters with low rejection (target <35%).
• Maintain density, strength, dimensions per IS 2185 and BIS/ISO standards.
• Document standard recipes and process parameters; keep fly ash >50%.
• Reduce material, power and fuel use; minimize rework and rejections.
• Run preventive maintenance on moulds, cutting machines, boiler, autoclaves.
• Lead in-house production team and contract labor; manage shifts.
• Enforce safety for boiler, autoclave, forklift and electrical work.
• Submit daily production reports and monthly cost/performance reports.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Restart and run the AAC block plant in Nellore (50 m/day capacity, two 25 m cycles)

• Lead the restart: plant inspection with the technical auditor, a trial cycle, then 5 consecutive validation cycles
• Manage the full process: batching, mixing, pouring, rising, cutting, autoclaving and stacking
• Coordinate with boiler operations for steam supply and autoclave cycles
• Plan daily production against confirmed orders and scale from 1 to 2 cycles per day
• Achieve 1,1001,300 saleable m per month with rejection below 35%
• Keep blocks within IS 2185 (Part 3) limits for density, strength and dimensions; maintain test records for BIS, ISO and ZED
• Write and maintain standard recipes and process parameters; keep fly ash content above 50%
• Reduce cost per m through lower material, power and fuel use and fewer rejections
• Run a preventive maintenance schedule for moulds, cutting machine, boiler, autoclaves and handling equipment
• Lead the in-house production team and contract labour; plan shifts and cross-train operators
• Enforce safety for boiler, autoclave, forklift and electrical work
• Submit daily production reports and monthly cost and performance reports to management

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years in AAC block manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years as Shift In-Charge, Assistant Production Manager or Production Head
• Hands-on experience of the full AAC process, including batching, cutting and autoclaving
• Has run a plant producing 1500+ m per month or two cycles a day
• Able to diagnose common problems: collapse during rising, cracks, mould leakage, density variation, cutting defects
• Working knowledge of IS 2185 (Part 3) and AAC lab testing
• Experience leading operators and contract labour
• Comfortable with daily records, production reports and basic cost calculations
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering preferred
• Experience restarting or turning around an underperforming plant is a strong plus
• Telugu or Tamil preferred, with working Hindi or English
• Willing to relocate to Nellore and work on-site full-time
• Salary: 6–10 LPA including performance incentive, plus accommodation support
