Job summary

PMV Nutrient Pvt Ltd. seeks a Plant Head to oversee all manufacturing operations at the Pataudi, Haryana facility. You will plan, execute and continuously improve production, ensuring product quality, food safety, cost control and regulatory compliance.

You will lead production and utility teams across extraction, drying, blending, packaging and utilities, driving efficiency, safety and Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Engineering or Food Science (essential).
• Experience in manufacturing food processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets.
• Coordinate production plans with Supply Chain and Sales to optimize resources.
• Drive continuous process improvements for higher productivity and lower costs.
• Ensure GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI compliance and traceability across plant operations.

Job Description Plant Head

Location: PMV Nutrient Pvt. Ltd., Pataudi, Haryana

Reporting To: Director

Age: 35 - 45 Years

Position Overview

The Plant Head will be responsible for the overall manufacturing operations of the PMV Nutrient plant at Pataudi. The role involves planning, executing and continuously improving production while ensuring product quality, food safety, cost optimization and regulatory compliance.

The incumbent will lead production and utility teams across multiple food processing operations including extraction, evaporation, drying, blending, packaging and utilities.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery and raw materials.
• Prepare and monitor production plans in coordination with Supply Chain and Sales.
• Improve plant productivity, yield and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).

Process Management

• Supervise operations involving:
  • Groundnut protein processing
  • Chicory processing
  • Malt extraction
  • Vacuum Band Dryers
  • Spray Dryers
  • Powder handling and blending
• Minimize production losses and wastage.
• Drive continuous process improvements for higher productivity and lower manufacturing cost.

Quality & Food Safety

• Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Work closely with QA to maintain product quality and customer specifications.
• Ensure complete traceability and documentation.
• Lead investigations for process deviations and customer complaints.

Maintenance & Engineering Coordination

• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the Engineering team.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and plant uptime.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and process improvements.

Team Management

• Lead, motivate and develop production supervisors and operators.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training requirements.
• Promote a culture of ownership, discipline and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental and safety requirements.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across production areas.
• Lead implementation of 5S, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Cost & Performance

• Monitor production KPIs including:
  • Yield
  • OEE
  • Downtime
  • Energy Consumption
  • Labour Productivity
  • Production Cost
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports.
• Drive initiatives for cost reduction and operational excellence.

Qualification

Essential

• B.Tech / B.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Engineering or Food Science.

Preferred added advantage

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
• Management degree / diploma ( full time only) from a Tier 1 / Tier 2

Experience

• 1015 years of manufacturing experience in the food processing industry.
• Minimum 5 years in an independent Production Head or Production Manager role.

Experience in food ingredient manufacturing, protein processing, malt products, starch, dairy, beverages, nutraceuticals or related industries will be preferred.

Exposure to drying technologies such as Vacuum Band Dryers, Spray Dryers or similar food processing equipment will be an advantage.

Compensation
