Job summary

Adani Natural Resources in Mundra, Gujarat, seeks a Plant Manager - SAP & ETP to lead safe, reliable, and compliant operations of the Sulphuric Acid Plant and Effluent Treatment Plant.

You will drive production targets, SO2 capture, water recovery, energy efficiency, and process safety while coordinating maintenance and projects.

Requires 18–25 years in process industries with sulfuric acid, gas cleaning, and wastewater exposure, plus strong leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 18–25 years of experience in process industries.
• Strong exposure to Sulphuric Acid Plant Operations.
• Exposure to Gas Cleaning Systems, ETP/Wastewater Treatment, Water Recovery & ZLD.
• Proven leadership in large-scale continuous process plants and emphasis on environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of the Sulphuric Acid Plant and ETP, ensuring achievement of production and treatment targets.
• Ensure efficient operation of Gas Cleaning Plant, Contact Section, Acid Absorption, Storage & Dispatch, and Water Recovery Systems.
• Drive process optimization to improve sulfur burning, water recovery, energy efficiency, and utility consumption.
• Ensure compliance with CPCB & GPCB requirements, environmental clearance conditions, and emission and wastewater standards.
• Champion Process Safety Management (PSM) with SOPs, PTW, LOTO, HIRA, MOC and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams on preventive, predictive, shutdown, and turnaround activities.
• Drive equipment reliability, operational excellence, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, shift in-charges, operators, technicians, and contractors.
• Manage operating budgets, utility and chemical consumption, maintenance costs, and inventory optimization.
• Support capacity expansion, debottlenecking, technology upgrades, and commissioning activities.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager - SAP & ETP to lead the safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, and cost-effective operations of the Sulphuric Acid Plant and Effluent Treatment Plant. The role will be responsible for maximizing acid production, SO₂ capture efficiency, water recovery, plant availability, and sustainability performance while driving operational excellence and process safety.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end operations of the Sulphuric Acid Plant and ETP, ensuring achievement of production and treatment targets.

Ensure efficient operation of:

• Gas Cleaning Plant
• Contact Section
• Acid Absorption Section
• Acid Storage & Dispatch Systems
• Water Recovery & Recycling Systems

Drive process optimization initiatives to improve:

• Sulphur burning efficiency
• Water recovery and recycling
• Energy efficiency and utility consumption

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including:
