Job summary

HYLITE Group of Companies (Hylite Galvanisers Pvt Ltd) in Chakan, Pune, seeks a Plant Head with a B.E. Mechanical and 10–15 years galvanizing experience to lead production, maintenance, and quality initiatives.

You will drive manufacturing efficiency, ensure safety compliance, and manage cross-functional teams across maintenance, process engineering, and audits. The role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement in galvanizing operations to meet production targets

Qualifications

• B.E. Mechanical with galvanizing experience is mandatory.
• Experience in galvanizing processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve production plans as per schedule.
• Ensure manpower availability and manage through the team.
• Review operations to ensure smooth functioning.
• Maintain quality indices and control rework/rejections.
• Monitor equipment utilization and uptime; manage maintenance.
• Review cost of production and drive cost reduction targets.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environment compliance under applicable laws.
• Develop maintenance policies and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Engage in customer relations and assist audits and reviews.

Roles & Responsibilites :

Production :

• Ensure production plans are achieved as per schedule
• Ensure manpower availability and management through team Ensure production
• Timely review to ensure smooth functioning

Quality

• Ensure production as per quality indices
• Manage rework and rejection rate
• Set & Review Quality indices

Manufacturing efficiency

• Review cost of production involved
• Review Equipment and manpower utilization
• Review Maintenance and machine uptime
• Ensure smooth functioning by ensuring raw material and consumables availability

Maintenance

• Development of maintenance policies & strategies
• Management of maintenance requirements Preventive Maintenance Review as per schedule
• Ensure breakdown maintenance cases are attended and resolved within desired time frame

Cost review

• Reviewing overall cost effectiveness Setting departmental cost reduction targets

HSE

• Ensure & Review Health, Safety and Environment compliance
• Statutory compliance under Factory Act, Electricity rules and other applicable laws

Manpower

• Skill development and Competency planning Team management and coordination

Process Engineering

• Analyzing current processes
• Suggesting and getting improvements implemented

Customer relationships & Audits

• Complaint investigation and resolution support Managing audits

• All department review including documentation review as per defined process
