Job summary

Exponent Energy in Bengaluru's Electronic City is hiring a Plant Finance Controller to own the factory's finances, monthly close, MIS, and cost optimisation with operations. You will manage product costing, inventory valuation, capex budgeting, and partner with central finance on audits and ERP processes.

CA or CMA with 3–5 years manufacturing finance experience, ERP and Excel proficiency, and willingness to work on-site are required.

Qualifications

• CA or CMA/CWA with post-qualification experience in manufacturing finance.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory and plant-level reporting experience.
• ERP familiarity and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the plant P&L: monthly close, MIS and variance analysis.
• Run product costing and standard costs to optimise costs with operations.
• Set up and manage inventory controls: verification, valuation, reconciliations, write-off governance.
• Support production planning, capex and budgeting for the plant.

Exponent Energy is building the energy backbone for India's electric commercial mobility, from rapid charging to the battery and vehicle ecosystem. Fresh off a Rs 200 Cr raise, we're scaling manufacturing at our Electronic City facility and looking for a Plant Finance Controller to own the finance side of the factory.

What you'll do

• - Own the plant P&L: monthly close, MIS and variance analysis for the factory
• - Run product costing, standard costs and cost optimisation with operations
• - Set up and manage inventory controls: physical verification, valuation, reconciliations and write-off governance
• - Support production planning, capex and budgeting for the plant
• - Partner with the central finance team on audits, controls and ERP processes

What we're looking for

• - CA or CWA/CMA with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing finance
• - Hands-on experience with cost accounting, inventory and plant-level reporting
• - Comfort with ERP systems and Excel; strong attention to detail
• - Experience in automotive, EV or industrial manufacturing is a plus
• - Willing to work on-site at Electronic City, Bengaluru; immediate joiners preferred

You’ll report to the Finance Controller and work closely with operations, supply chain and leadership.
