Job summary

UltraTech Cement is seeking a logistics professional to optimize costs and improve efficiency across route mapping, freight planning, fleet management, and dispatch operations. You will coordinate with S&M and Commercial teams to ensure timely delivery and cost control, while driving vendor performance and inventory alignment across hubs.

The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, managing diverse customers, and maintaining smooth dispatches with priority-driven loading.

Responsibilities

• Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Conduct route mapping and identify alternative logistics routes.
• Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Maintain freight database (toll, fleet availability, sector-wise data).
• Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Perform PT/KM (Per Ton Per Km) analysis and identify cost variations.
• Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Support cluster-level freight inflow/outflow planning.
• Cost Optimization & Efficiency: Resolve freight payment disputes with Accounts.
• Distribution & Dispatch Planning: Improve truck turnaround time at plants.
• Distribution & Dispatch Planning: Align dispatches with rake arrival forecasts.
• Distribution & Dispatch Planning: Ensure efficient order allocation to transporters.
• Operations Management: Allocate orders through vendor portal and track acceptance.
• Operations Management: Coordinate daily fleet requirements and priority movements.
