Job summary

ALPLA Group is seeking an experienced Plant Operations leader in India to manage day-to-day operations across production, packing and delivery. You will drive capacity planning, ensure safe working practices, and monitor quality against customer specifications in a dynamic, international environment.

You should have a Diploma/Engineering degree with 10+ years in manufacturing/plant operations. Cosmetic packaging experience is preferred, especially in beauty and personal care products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing/plant operations experience.
• Diploma or Engineering degree required.
• Preference for plastic packaging/manufacturing background.
• Experience in Beauty and Personal Care manufacturing (shampoo, creams, lotions, etc.).
• Experience in cosmetics manufacturing industry.

• Manage and monitor day-to-day plant operations for production, packing and delivery.
• Support capacity planning to ensure resources meet business needs.
• Drive Safety First culture; ensure compliance with safety standards and CAPA closure.
• Coordinate safety activities, PPE compliance and incident investigations.
• Monitor production plans, output, capacity utilization and delivery performance.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Management System and customer specs; drive corrective actions.
• Monitor plant costs and budgets; identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Support plant projects, capacity enhancements and improvement initiatives.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Manage and monitor day-to-day plant operations to ensure smooth, safe and efficient execution of production, packing and delivery activities.
• Support capacity planning and ensure availability and effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials, utilities and other resources to meet business requirements.
• Drive a strong Safety First culture across the plant and ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures and safe working practices. Monitor hazards, safety observations, incidents and CAPA closure.
• Coordinate Safety Committee activities, conduct regular safety walkdowns, monitor PPE compliance and support investigation and closure of serious incidents and corrective actions.
• Monitor production plans, output, capacity utilization and delivery performance. Identify operational constraints and take timely corrective actions in coordination with relevant functions.
• Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System and customer specifications. Monitor quality performance, customer complaints and recurring issues and drive appropriate corrective actions.
• Support the Plant Head in monitoring plant costs and budget performance. Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining required standards of safety, quality and delivery.
• Support and monitor plant projects, capacity enhancements and improvement initiatives, ensuring timely execution within agreed scope, timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, company and customer requirements. Coordinate with relevant functions for audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, HR, Finance and other functions to achieve plant objectives and resolve operational issues.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Head or Management.
• Thorough understanding of the batch manufacturing process with knowledge of batch making sequence, control points and critical control points.
