Job summary

A leading engineering firm in India is seeking a Planning Manager to coordinate site-level planning and resource scheduling for highway construction projects. Responsibilities include preparing schedules, monitoring progress, and maintaining client correspondence. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction management and resource optimization. This role is full-time and located in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-level planning and monitoring activities.
• Prepare, update, and track baseline schedules on a monthly basis.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct progress review meetings, prepare minutes of meetings (MOM), and circulate to all concerned.
• Plan resources according to site requirements.
• Develop micro-level plans and monitor progress.
• Analyze equipment and manpower efficiency for productivity improvement.
• Monitor time cycles and productivity for all activities.
• Prepare and submit project completion reports.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for internal and client review meetings.
• Prepare method statements and construction sequences for all major activities.
• Track cost monitoring of the project—budgeted vs actual.
• Maintain client correspondence and letter replies.
• Coordinate design with the head office/consultant for submission and drawing approval.
• Resolve onsite construction difficulties in discussion with designers.
• Distribute approved drawings at the site for smooth execution of works.
• Maintain subcontractor coordination for smooth progress.
• Procure all major materials and bought-out items—follow up with the head office and vendors for timely delivery (reinforcement, liner plate, rock boulder, cement, admixture, sand, aggregate, curing compound, shuttering oil, Xbloc mold, fender, bollard, crane rail, ladder, navigational aids, building finishing materials, MEP items).
