Job summary

Vesat Management in Tamil Nadu is seeking a planning/PPC professional to manage release of manufacturing orders through ERP and coordinate with production, procurement, stores, QC and subcontractors to ensure material readiness.

The role emphasizes monitoring order status from release to shipment, tracking overdue orders, and supporting continuous improvement programs like 5S, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives within Planning/Operations.

Qualifications

• BE/BTECH (MECH)/DME with experience in PPC, BOM, lead time, materials planning, order tracking and ERP/SAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Release manufacturing orders through ERP and track status from release to shipment.
• Follow up with Production, Purchase, Stores, QC and subcontractors for material readiness.
• Monitor order status from order release through production, inspection and shipment.
• Track overdue orders and support recovery plans to improve on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Purchase for material availability, shortages and supplier commitments.
• Coordinate with QC for inspection, quarantine and release of priority orders.
• Monitor subcontracting activities and follow up on pending material/processes.
• Identify bottlenecks affecting delivery and escalate critical issues to Planning Manager.
• Participate in daily shop-floor reviews and provide status updates.
• Support continuous improvement activities such as 5S, Kaizen and Lean initiatives within Planning/Operations.
