Unitedworld Institute of Design – NCR seeks a Placement Manager to lead the placement process for its design programs, coordinating with industry partners to secure high-quality internships and final placements across fashion, interior, product, graphic, and communication design.

The role focuses on strategizing career services, organizing placement drives, and enhancing student employability while maintaining compliance with institute policies and achieving ambitious placement targets.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Management, HR, Design, or related field; UGC NET preferred.
• 4–6 years in placements/training & placement in higher education, preferably in design institutes.
• Proven track record securing placements with top design brands and achieving high placement percentages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual placement strategies, including industry outreach, campus recruitment events, and virtual placement drives.
• Build and maintain relationships with design firms, creative agencies, corporates, and alumni networks in Delhi NCR and pan-India.
• Coordinate pre-placement training, resume-building workshops, mock interviews, and skill development sessions tailored to design portfolios and industry demands.
• Manage end-to-end placement processes: student registrations, company shortlisting, placement schedules, offer negotiations, and placement reporting.
• Analyze placement data using tools like Excel/Google Sheets to track metrics and prepare reports for university leadership.
• Collaborate with faculty and program heads to align curriculum with industry needs and organize guest lectures/career fairs.
• Ensure compliance with placement policies, diversity hiring goals, and UID's ethical standards.

Job Summary

The Placement Manager will drive the placement process for UID's design programs, fostering strong industry partnerships to secure high-quality placements for students in fashion, interior, product, graphic, and communication design fields. This role focuses on strategizing career services, organizing placement drives, and enhancing employability skills to achieve 90%+ placement rates annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual placement strategies, including industry outreach, campus recruitment events, and virtual placement drives.
• Build and maintain relationships with design firms, creative agencies, corporates (e.g., fashion houses, interior brands, digital studios), and alumni networks in Delhi NCR and pan-India.
• Coordinate pre-placement training, resume building workshops, mock interviews, and skill development sessions tailored to design portfolios and industry demands.
• Manage end-to-end placement processes: student registrations, company shortlisting, placement schedules, offer negotiations, and placement reporting.
• Analyze placement data using tools like Excel/Google Sheets to track metrics (e.g., highest package, average CTC, sector-wise placements) and prepare reports for university leadership.
• Collaborate with faculty and program heads to align curriculum with industry needs and organize guest lectures/career fairs.
• Ensure compliance with placement policies, diversity hiring goals, and UID's ethical standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Management, HR, Design, or related field; UGC NET qualification preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in placements/training & placement in higher education, preferably in design/creative arts institutes.
• Proven track record in securing placements with top design brands (e.g., Raymond, Asian Paints, Ogilvy) and achieving high placement percentages.

Required Skills

• Strong networking and communication skills; proficiency in stakeholder management.
• Data-driven mindset with expertise in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and CRM tools for placement tracking.
• Knowledge of Delhi NCR job market, design industry trends, and employability skills training.
• Excellent organizational abilities; ability to handle multiple recruitment cycles under tight deadlines.
