Job summary

Route Upskill Academy is seeking a proactive Placement Head to lead placement and corporate relations efforts in Kozhikode, Kerala. You will establish and nurture relationships with HR professionals, companies and recruitment partners to create student employment opportunities.

You will develop strategies, coordinate interviews and drives, and drive MOUs and recurring recruitment opportunities across Kerala and South India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in placement, recruitment, corporate relations, business development, HR or the education/EdTech sector.
• Existing contacts with HR professionals and companies will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong follow-up and lead-conversion abilities.
• Target-oriented and result-driven.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets, LinkedIn and professional communication tools.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Willingness to travel is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute placement strategies to achieve student placement targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with HR managers, recruiters, companies and recruitment agencies.
• Identify and approach potential employers across Kerala and other major employment markets in South India.
• Generate job opportunities for students from Data Analytics, Accounting & Finance, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management programs.
• Conduct corporate outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn and direct company visits.
• Coordinate interviews, recruitment drives, assessments and hiring activities.
• Develop corporate partnerships, MOUs and recurring recruitment opportunities.
• Maintain a database of companies, HR contacts, vacancies, interviews, selections and joining status.
• Coordinate with academic teams regarding student profiles, skills and job readiness.
• Support students with resume preparation, interview coordination and placement guidance.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with companies and recruiters.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly placement reports for management.
• Represent Route Academy in corporate meetings, job fairs and recruitment events.
• Travel for company visits and corporate meetings whenever required.
