Job summary

Saipem in India seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Piping Layout with 12-20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, refineries, or petrochemicals. You will lead a team of engineers and designers and drive piping deliverables through BID, FEED and detail engineering phases.

Responsibilities include defining activities and schedules, coordinating with cross disciplines, managing material take off and vendor follow-up, and ensuring 3D model reviews and document quality.

Qualifications

• B.E / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 12-20 years of experience in Plant Layout and Design for Oil & Gas/Refineries/Petrochemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, designers and drafters.
• Define piping deliverables, set schedules and coordinate with other disciplines in BID/FEED/Detail Engineering.
• Manage piping material take off, specs, requisitions, RFQs and vendor follow-up.
• Oversee 3D model reviews and ensure workflow and quality of piping documents.
• Maintain project progress and monitor man-hour budgets.
• Identify contract scope changes and support offshore piping/layout projects.

Work Experience : 12-20 years in Plant Layout and Design of Oil & Gas/Refineries/Petrochemicals
Technical Skills

• Should be a Team Leader/player and effectively Manage Team of Engineers/Designers/Draftsman.
• Define Activities and Piping Deliverables, set up schedule and co-ordinate activities with other disciplines during BID phase, FEED Phase and Detail Engineering Phase as per the requirements of Contract.
• Manage Piping Material Take off, Specification, Material requisition, Technical Bid Evaluation for procurement and vendor follow up.
• Manage 3D Model Reviews
• Guarantee proper Work flow, interfaces, quality checks and approval of piping project documents.
• Conform Piping Efficient working, Project Progress, monitor and control man-hour budget.
• Support project effort with identification of changes to the contract scope
• Experience in Piping & Layout Engineering of Offshore Platforms
