Job summary

KSB is hiring a Sr. Executive in Piping for their Satara district facility. The role requires 5–8 years of BE Mechanical experience with strong GTAW welding knowledge, NDT exposure and good communication skills.

You will lead a team on shop floor, coordinate with multiple departments, ensure quality and safety, and drive documentation per ISO/OHS standards. The position involves planning, coordinating with engineering and QA, and ensuring timely project execution with third-party witnesses and

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical with 5–8 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of GTAW welding process and related codes.
• Familiarity with welding procedures (WPS/PQR/WPQ) and pipe materials.
• Good communication and team-lead capabilities.
• Awareness of NDT methods like RT and UT.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily production as per monthly dispatch schedule.
• Study BOM, P&ID and GA drawings before starting work.
• Coordinate with project engineer for scope of work and special requirements.
• Coordinate with MRP, stores, OE, Purchase, Assembly and Packing for project execution.
• Lead a team of contractual staff for daily production activities and allocation.
• Ensure welding output and quality norms to minimize repairs.
• Execute piping activities and unitization of pumps for third-party witness.
• Coordinate with QA and inspectors for NDT tests (LP, RT, Hydro).
• Maintain 5S, Kaizen, inventory and worker safety on shop floor.
• Prepare weld maps and radiography testing annexures from piping drawings.
• Qualification of welding procedures and welders per ASME/EN codes.
• Prepare and approve WPS and PQR as per project requirements.
• Maintain welding-related documentation and records.

Job Location: Khandala MIDC, Phase-II, Village Kesurdi, Tal.- Khandala, Dist.- Satara, Maharashtra.

Professional experience: 5 to 8 years of Experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Daily Production planning as per monthly dispatch schedule.
2. Ensure smooth piping work by studying BOM, P&ID and GA drawings before starting work.
3. Coordinating with concerned project engineer for scope of work and special requirements.
4. Coordinating with different department like MRP (Material Resource planning), Store, OE ( Order Engineering), Purchase, Assembly and Packing for execution of Project as per dispatch schedule.
5. Lead team of contractual employee for daily production activities and work allocation at shop floor.
6. Ensured welding output and quality norms to minimize repairs, monitoring welding quality.
7. Execution of Piping Activity and Unitization of pump for third party witness.
8. Co-ordinating with Quality Management and third party inspector for conducting Non Destructive Testing like Liquid Penetrant (LP), Radiography Testing (RT), Hydro testing.
9. Responsible for maintaining shop floor 5S activity, Kaizen, Inventory and Safety of Workman with team member.
10. Preparation of weld map and radiography testing annexure by studying piping drawing.
11. Qualification of Welding Procedure and Welder for different material as per ASME and EN Code for Carbon, Stainless and Alloy Steel.
12. Preparation and approval of WPS and PQR qualification as per project requirement from client or TPI.
13. Maintaining documentation and records like welding consumables, welder continuity record, Electrode Baking register related with welding.
14. Responsible for procurement of welding consumables (Welding Rod, Filler wire and Personal protective Equipment)
15. Evaluation of Contractual Work for their pays.
16. Responsible for timely Calibration of welding machine.
17. Responsible for maintaining record for ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 Audit

Defined competencies:
