Job summary

Kairos Technologies is seeking a senior plant design engineer in India to lead site layout, underground and mechanical network planning for power/energy facilities. The role emphasizes AVEVA E3D/PDMS modeling, isometrics, and coordination with civil/structural teams to deliver construction-ready drawings.

Responsibilities include 3D modeling, clash checks, routing of piping systems, and preparation of arrangement drawings and isometric deliverables for manufacturing and on-site erection.

Qualifications

• Min 5-10 years in Power / Energy / industrial application business.
• Experienced with customer specification and international standards.
• Site / Customer support experience (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Overall site layout planning, Underground network, and Mechanical network planning
• Power Plant 3D design and arrangement of all plant equipment
• 3D modeling in AVEVA E3D/PDMS
• Clash checks including iterations with civil engineers and structural steel designers
• Arrangement concepts definition – Handling, Lifting, Access & Walkway, Laydown Plan; design of large plant modules including basic steel design, piping and equipment positioning
• Generation of Arrangement drawings including civil inputs based on 3D models using AVEVA DRAW and AutoCAD
• Routing of water, air, gas and steam piping from concept to basic and detail engineering
• Detail design for pipe, valves and pipe supports design, piping weld definition and spooling concepts
• Generation of Isometric and Support drawings and other deliverables
• Hydrotests and Pressure test mark-ups
• Technical clarifications on isometric drawings
• Pipe stress calculations and reports (good to have)

• Various arrangement concepts definition – Handling, Lifting, Access & Walkway, Laydown Plan Designing large plant modules (prefabricated, transportable) including basic steel design, piping and equipment positioning, material take off and all instructions for manufacturing, mock‑up assembly, transport, and site erection.
• Generation of Arrangement drawings including civil inputs based on 3D models using AVEVA DRAW and AutoCAD
• Routing of water, air, gas and steam piping from concept to basic and detail engineering
• Detail design for pipe, valves and pipe supports design Piping weld definition and spooling concepts
