Job summary

PWOG in Bengaluru, India seeks an experienced piping designer to develop and modify 2D piping drawings and 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D or CADWORX. You will prepare piping and equipment layouts and ensure alignment with project requirements and P&IDs.

Required is a Diploma (DME) or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with at least four years of relevant experience, plus strong attention to drawing accuracy and ability to coordinate with engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in piping design/drafting.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D or Cadworx and 2D drafting.
• Ability to read P&IDs and engineering inputs and apply them to drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 2D piping drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Create 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D or CADWORX.
• Prepare piping layouts, equipment layouts and related engineering drawings.
• Develop piping drawings based on engineering inputs, P&IDs and project requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency of piping models and drawings.
• Coordinate with piping engineers and other engineering disciplines.
• Make revisions to drawings/models based on design changes and project requirements.
• Follow applicable project drafting and modelling standards.
• Support preparation of drawings and documentation for engineering deliverables.

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in piping design/drafting.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D or Cadworx.
• Strong AutoCAD 2D drafting skills.
• Good understanding of piping layouts and 3D piping modelling.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, piping drawings and engineering inputs.
• Experience in plant engineering / industrial projects is preferred.
• Good attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or B.E./B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in plant piping design, 3D modelling and 2D drafting using AutoCAD Plant 3D or CADWORX will be preferred.
