Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 3–5 years of P&ID CAD creation and piping design experience in industrial or process plant environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for P&IDs and basic Plant3D for equipment modeling.
• Good written and spoken English; able to coordinate with US stakeholders.

Responsibilities

SSOE Group is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer based in Mumbai to support industrial and process plant projects. The role focuses on producing P&ID CAD (AutoCAD 2D) deliverables and providing basic 3D equipment and piping design support using Plant3D, collaborating with international project teams and US stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret P&ID markups and produce accurate P&ID CAD drawings following drafting best practices.
• Perform basic equipment modeling and piping design in 3D software (Plant3D).
• Multi-task across multiple projects while delivering work on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with dispersed project teams, including US-based stakeholders.
• Work independently and collaborate within small, multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in P&ID CAD creation and piping design within industrial or process plant environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for P&IDs.
• Basic knowledge of Plant3D for equipment modeling and piping design.
• Exposure to MicroStation preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English; ability to work evening hours to coordinate with US stakeholders.
