Job summary

TopGear Consultants Pvt Ltd. in Mumbai seeks an experienced Electrical Substation Design Engineer to deliver AIS/GIS substations, GA drawings, elevations, busbar layouts and connection details, while coordinating with civil, structural, and transmission teams.

You will perform grounding, lighting, cable sizing, and conduit calculations; size transformers and equipment; prepare BOM and control house layouts; ensure adherence to IEC, IEEE and NESC standards, with proficiency in CDEGS/ETAP and 3D

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical substation primary/physical design.
• Experience with high-voltage AIS/GIS substations, preferably across multiple voltage levels.
• Proficiency in substation layouts, grounding, equipment sizing, and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and NESC standards.
• Familiarity with CDEGS, WinIGS, ETAP, Mathcad, Dialux/Visual Lighting, and 3D physical design tools.
• Experience in US, Canada, or UK projects is an added advantage.
