Job summary

Sofomation Energy is seeking a Petroleum Engineer with extensive field experience to independently lead standard projects and provide technical support for complex PE operations. The role involves mentoring team members and coordinating with internal disciplines and service providers.

You will plan, prepare, write programs, and execute standard PE operations such as completions, workovers, and well stimulations, while monitoring field activities and optimizing well performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering required.
• 7 years of work experience expected.
• Experience leading standard PE projects or supporting complex PE operations.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead multiple standard PE projects or provide technical support for complex projects in petroleum engineering.
• Mentor team members as required.
• Lead planning, preparation, program writing and execution of standard PE operations (e.g., completions, workover, well stimulation).
• Review and monitor execution of standard operations, including third-party providers.
• Field work with on-site supervision of petroleum engineering activities.
• Conduct network analysis to optimize well performance and plan interventions.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with 7 years of work experience.

Independently lead multiple standard projects or provide technical support for a complex project (e.g. new fields, change in existing scope, non routine operations) in specific domain Petroleum engineering. Interact with other internal disciplines and service providers, as required. Lead planning, preparation, program writing and execution of standard PE operations (e.g. completions, workover, well stimulation etc.) or provide support for complex PE operations in specific domain Review and monitor execution of standard operations being conducted internally or by third party providers in specific domain Lead planning, preparation, program writing and execution of standard PE operations (e.g. completions, workover, well stimulation etc.) or provide support for complex PE operations in specific domain Independently run or any similar tubing stress evaluation tool Well performance monitoring on a daily basis and plan optimization activities including but not limited to workover, stimulation, well intervention (slickline, e-line, coil tubing) etc. Field work including on site supervision of various petroleum engineering activities. Network analysis using GAP or any other suitable software for optimizing well performance. Provide inputs on audit of operations to supervisor
