Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru seeks a skilled performance testing engineer to design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance tests for applications and infrastructure. You will create reusable test plans and scripts, monitor system metrics during runs, and identify bottlenecks across layers.

Role requires strong collaboration with Dev, QA, and Ops teams, along with the ability to drive root-cause analysis and tuning recommendations. Cloud and on-premise validation are included.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies and plans.
• Perform Load, Stress, Endurance, Volume, and Scalability testing.
• Create and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, or NeoLoad.
• Analyze test results and identify system bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
• Monitor system resources including CPU, Memory, Network, and Disk utilization during test execution.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide performance tuning recommendations.
• Develop workload models and performance test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Prepare detailed performance test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines and performance testing automation initiatives.
• Validate application performance for cloud and on-premise environments.
• Ensure compliance with defined SLAs and performance benchmarks.
