Job summary

LPL Financial Global Capability Center in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Professional, Performance Test Engineer to join a Scrum team and certify the performance of mobile and desktop platforms.

You will work with Development, QA, Product and Project management to design automated tests and analyze results to drive improvements in performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Performance Testing including Web and Mobile applications.
• Experience with AWS Cloud.
• Proficient in back-end testing with SQL Server and writing SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing automated test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance and scale outcomes to ensure Domain deliveries meet non-functional requirements and scalability.
• Coordinate and create Performance Test Strategies in support of Domain deliveries.
• Identify and document KPI’s and SLA’s for the applications.
• Perform load tests to validate system performance and stability.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with Developers to fix issues.
• Provide technical guidance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability.
• Defect issues found and work with Development to resolve.
• Perform root cause analysis of performance issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Oversee performance test lifecycle and report metrics.

Senior Professional, Performance Test Engineer

Job Overview

As a QA Performance Test Engineer, you will bring hands‑on contributions to a talented team and work to certify the performance of our mobile & desktop platforms, working on a small team aligned to an LPL Domain. You will provide consultation to the Domain Teams through your expertise in Application Performance and System Standards. You will be working within select LPL Domains to understand their architecture, applications and assisting in the identification of issues related to application performance and stability. You work with teams designing automated tests to evaluate the performance of complex systems and then analyzing and documenting the results. You will work as part of a Scrum team that brings together Development, QA, Product and Project management.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance and scale outcomes to ensure Domain deliveries provide needed non‑functional requirements improvements and ability to scale ahead of LPL’s business growth
• Coordinate & create Performance Test Strategies in support of the Domain deliveries
• Identify and document KPI’s and SLA’s for the applications
• Perform load tests to validate system performance and stability
• Analyze tests results and work with Developers and Engineers to perform bug fixes
• Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability
• Defect issues found and work with Development to resolve
• Perform root cause analysis of performance issues and suggest corrective actions
• Oversee performance test lifecycle
• Evaluate system performances and recommend improvements
• Generate periodic performance reports for management review
• Generate metrics and systematically collect data

Requirements

• BS Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience or equivalent in Application Development
• 5+ years of experience in QA Performance Testing including Web and Mobile applications, with an emphasis on hands‑on experience developing and executing automated test scripts
• Experience with AWS Cloud
• Proficient in at least one of the following areas: (1) Experience testing solutions that conform to service‑oriented architecture guidelines; (2) Knowledge on Test Management Tools (JIRA, Quality Center); (3) Solid development skills including Java, .NET; (4) Experience in SQL Server and writing complex SQL queries to perform back‑end testing

Preferences

• Financial and Quality Assurance and Software certifications
• Database skills, ANSI, Oracle, MS SQL Server
• CDC/Kafka strongly preferred
