Job summary

Acesoft Labs is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer/Architect to join our Hyderabad-based team. You will own scalability, reliability, and high performance for web and mobile platforms, partnering with Dev, QA, and Infra to remove bottlenecks and optimize user experience at scale.

The role requires 10+ years of experience with performance testing, including JMeter and related tools, plus strong scripting and cloud/container skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) in large-scale web/mobile apps.
• Strong automation scripting in Python, Shell or Groovy for test pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, and modern web tech (Java/.NET/Node.js).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on with APM tools: DataDog, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for web and mobile apps.
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable improvements.
• Conduct high-level load testing before PROD deployments across platforms.
• Collaborate with architects/developers to optimize code, DB queries, and infra.
• Implement caching, CDN optimizations, and server tuning.
• Monitor performance using APM tools and diagnose production issues.

About the Role

We are seeking aPerformance Engineer to join our dynamic eCommerce technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and high performance of our web and mobile platforms. You will work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to identify bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and deliver a seamless experience to millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance Testing & Analysis
• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for web and mobile applications.
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform high level load testing to identify bottlenecks for each release on the platform before PROD deployment
• Expertise on web load testing techniques and tools to improve the user experience when system is under heavy load for both Desktop and mobile apps
• System Optimization
• Collaborate with architects and developers to optimize application code, database queries, and infrastructure configurations.
• Implement caching strategies, CDN optimizations, and tuning of web servers and databases.
• Monitoring & Diagnostics
• Experience on using APM tools on performance monitoring(e.g., DataDog, Grafana)
• Proactively identify performance issues in production and collaborate with teams to identify the root cause.
• Capacity Planning
• Forecast system capacity needs based on traffic growth and seasonal spikes for component and system levels
• Work with cloud and infrastructure teams to ensure scalability.
• Collaboration
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate performance best practices into SDLC.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge on performance engineering principles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise
• Strong experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Blaze Meter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, Groovy) for automation.
• Solid understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, Java, .NET, Node.js).
• Web load testing tools experience is a must
• Deep understanding of Web vitals is a must
• Database & Infrastructure
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). GCP & Kubernetes are preferable but not mandatory
• Monitoring Tools
