Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Functional SME to support Benefits Administration modules and drive HR technology modernization. The role requires 10 to 15 years of hands-on PeopleSoft experience and close collaboration with business stakeholders.

The position offers hybrid work arrangements across Persistent locations, with a focus on delivering scalable, value-driven PeopleSoft solutions and ongoing enhancements in a dynamic, global enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM applications.
• Deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM business processes, configurations, setups, and module capabilities.
• Extensive experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
• Strong experience supporting application enhancements, testing, deployments, and production support activities.

Responsibilities

• Design functional solutions and prepare detailed functional specifications for development teams.
• Configure and enhance PeopleSoft HCM modules to meet evolving business requirements.
• Lead and support application enhancement, optimization, and transformation initiatives.
• Participate in solution design workshops, business process reviews, and requirement discussions.
• Coordinate and execute system testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Support deployment of enhancements, fixes, configuration updates, and release activities.
• Participate in PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) upgrades, image adoption, and patch implementation activities.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting, enhancing, and optimizing PeopleSoft HCM solutions while serving as a trusted advisor to Benefits, and business stakeholders.

WhatYou'llDo:

• Design functional solutions and prepare detailed functional specifications for development teams.
• Configure and enhance PeopleSoft HCM modules to meet evolving business requirements.
• Lead and support application enhancement, optimization, and transformation initiatives.
• Participate in solution design workshops, business process reviews, and requirement discussions.
• Coordinate and execute system testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Support deployment of enhancements, fixes, configuration updates, and release activities.
• Participate in PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) upgrades, image adoption, and patch implementation activities.
• Conduct regression testing and validation to ensure application stability after upgrades and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot functional issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate issue resolution with technical teams.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain functional documentation, process flows, business requirements, test scripts, and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HR technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Train and support end users on system functionality and process improvements.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex functional issues and coordinate resolutions with technical teams.
• Experience documenting business requirements, functional designs, process flows, test cases, and support procedures.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
