Job summary

Fam is hiring for an entry-level HR Operations role in Bengaluru. You will help streamline onboarding/offboarding, maintain HR records and trackers, and respond to employee queries. The role focuses on engagement activities, cross-functional follow-ups and exploring AI-driven automations to simplify workflows.

Ideal candidates are highly organized with strong Excel skills, and demonstrate ownership, timely communication, and attention to detail in a fast-growing fintech startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Offboarding: assist with documentation, access requests, coordination and exit formalities.
• Database & Tracker Upkeep: maintain HR records, attendance/leave logs and trackers in Google Sheets/Excel.
• Employee Queries: address daily policy, leave balances and documentation questions.
• Engagement & Events: help plan and execute team celebrations and events.
• Cross-Functional Follow-Ups: coordinate with internal teams to ensure tasks are completed on time.

On the Job

• Onboarding & Offboarding: Assist with employee documentation, access requests, coordination, and exit formalities to ensure a smooth experience for every team member.
• Database & Tracker Upkeep: Maintain accurate, up-to-date HR records, attendance/leave logs, and internal operation trackers in Google Sheets/Excel.
• Employee Queries: Help address everyday employee queries regarding company policies, leave balances, and documentation.
• Engagement & Events: Assist in planning and executing team celebrations, in-person engagement activities, and cultural events.
• Cross-Functional Follow-Ups: Proactively follow up with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure pending operational tasks are completed on time.
• Process Automation: Spot repetitive, manual tasks in your workflow and explore ways to automate them using AI tools and simple integrations.
• SOP Maintenance: Draft and update process guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to keep internal documentation fresh.

Must-Haves

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a strong eye for accuracy in records and data
• Good working knowledge of Excel.
• Strong follow-up skills and ownership of tasks from start to finish
• You close loops, meet timelines, and keep things running smoothly without needing reminders.
• Clear and prompt communication skills

Good to Haves

• You’ve used AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to get work done
• Some exposure to automation tools or an HRMS (Keka or similar)
• Internship experience in HR domain
