Job summary

Credera, trading as Areteans Technology, seeks a Pega UI Architect (React) to design and implement architecture for a suite of systems. The role guides the UI layer, partnering with architects, leads, and developers in a collaborative environment.

The candidate will own UI design guidelines, work with UX and Product teams to advance the Design Language System, and ensure performance, quality, and security in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Extensive UI development experience across modern web tech.
• Experience on Pega 24.1 and pega mobile is a must.
• Strong knowledge of UIToolkit /Theme cosmos and React JS.
• Understanding REST API, Swagger and data formats like JSON.
• Familiarity with component-based architecture using React.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise for every phase of the project lifecycle; from front end development to solution design, implementation, optimization, and support.
• Develop, maintain, and promote an internal web-based repository of UI design guidelines and patterns, code samples, and UI componentry
• Partner with User Experience and Product/Project teams to implement and augment the Design Language System.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to understand technical requirements as well as performance, quality and security concerns.
• Source control and release management process for the Design Language System

Job Description:

Design and implement application architecture and own the application strategies and roadmap for a suite of systems or domain. The primary areas of focus are core development, design and direction of application architecture and alignment of architecture with business objectives and high-level company technology direction. The UI Architect will partner with other architects and technology decision-makers to guide overall direction of the user interface layer of the site and will work closely with Technical Leads, Application Architects, Software Developers and Management in a highly collaborative environment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Qualification:

• Extensive UI development experience to understand the evolution of technology from older technologies like ColdFusion, Flash, and Java to newer technologies like HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.
• Experience on Pega 24.1 and pega mobile is a must.
• Strong knowledge of UIToolkit /Theme cosmos along with experience in React JS / fabric JS.
• Understanding and experience with asynchronous processing, partial page refresh, DOM traversal and manipulation. Experience with REST API construction, documentation, and architecture, including API description languages like Swagger. Experience with parsing and manipulating XML and JSON.
• Familiarity with Component-based architecture such as React.
• Broad experience in JS-based UI technologies: Angular, Bootstrap, Foundation, FlexBox, FlexGrid, WordPress & other CMS tools.
• Ability to set up, maintain, and update a UX design language system and information repository in a LAMP web server environment, hosted in a Cloud (such as Pivotal)
• Experience in enterprise or SaaS development
• Responsible to prepare the technical design of the components within the module (one or more of client/web presentation tier, server tier, data access and data model, integration component, package function customization).
• build, release process as well as system configuration and deployment characteristics of the application.
• Implements (hands-on) the module components based on prevailing Framework and Open-source standards & its best practices.
• Mentors the team (people working on the module and other project team members) on technology concepts and best practices for design and implementation.
