Job summary

Randstad Bengaluru is seeking a PCBA Layout Engineer to migrate legacy designs and create new PCBA solutions using Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise. You will own the full design package for board suppliers and ensure data integrity across schematics and layouts.

Engage with circuit and mechanical teams to meet electrical constraints, review designs, and align with library engineers. Strong English communication and proactive teamwork are essential to deliver compliant, high-quality boards.

Qualifications

• BSc/B.Tech/B.E in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–5 years of PCBA physical design experience, including constraints, placement, routing, and panel design.
• Hands-on with Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise is mandatory.
• Experience with Valor NPI, CAM350 or similar is preferred.
• Familiarity with Mentor EDM is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of electronic/electro-mechanical components and standards (ROHS/REACH/IPC).
• Strong English communication, team player, proactive and decisive.

Responsibilities

• Migration of legacy and design of new PCBA using Xpedition Enterprise.
• Create full electronic design package (schematic, layout, TPD) for suppliers.
• Ensure data integrity of schematic and board layouts.
• Collaborate with circuit and mechanical designers on electrical design and constraints; lead design reviews.
• Coordinate with CAD-E library engineers on part availability.
• Communicate effectively with design engineers and customers.
• Follow procedures and standards to ensure product quality.
• Implement signal/power integrity, safety compliance, and industry requirements.

Job description

Your responsibilities as PCBA Layout Engineer

• Migration of legacy and designing new PCBAs to the Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise platform
  
• Creation of the full electronic design package (schematic, layout, TPD, ...) for the board suppliers
• Ensure data integrity of schematic diagram and board layout files
• Cooperation with circuit (functional) designers and mechanical designers regarding electrical design and physical constraints, organize design review meetings
• Align with the CAD-E library engineers on the availability of elements
• Good communication with design engineers and customers
• Follow development procedures, design guidelines and standards to ensure reliable product quality
• Implementation of signal/power-integrity requirements, safety compliance requirements and generic and/or specific industry requirements

We are looking for

• BSc or B.Tech or B.E in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
• 4 to 5 years of experience with PCBA physical design (define design constraints, placement, routing, panel design, create technical product documentation)
• 4 to 5years of experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise is a must have
• Experience with Valor NPI, CAM350 or similar is preferred
• Experience with Mentor EDM is preferred
• Solid knowledge on electronic / electro-mechanical components
• Knowledge on regulations and standards like ROHS, REACH, IPC
