Job summary

RGBSI Ahmedabad is seeking an experienced PCB Designer to draft electronic schematics and design high-quality multi-layer PCBs for complex electrical assemblies.

BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics and 4–8 years of relevant PCB experience are required. Proficiency in Cadence PCB Editor or ORCAD Capture, plus PLM tools (Teamcenter, SAP PLM), and IPC design standards is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Strong in electronic schematic drafting and PCB fundamentals.
• 3+ years of experience with Cadence PCB Editor or ORCAD Capture.
• Experience with PLM tools (Teamcenter, SAP PLM) and PCB design documentation.
• Familiar with IPC2221 or equivalent design standards.

Responsibilities

• Electronic Schematic drafting.
• High quality multi-layer PCB layout that meets electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturability requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams for requirement gathering.
• Conduct and participate in PCB design reviews.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, cable drawings, system interconnects and BOMs.
• Understand PCB design thermal aspects.
• Familiar with semiconductor equipment industry.
• Assist in component selection and circuit theory basics.
• Document and release drawings & BOM using ECR/ECN processes.
• Provide resolutions to design and documentation quality issues.

Position Title: PCB Designer

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

Years of Experience: 4-8 years of relevant experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Electronic Schematic drafting.
• Responsible for high quality multi-layer PCB layout design that meet electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturability requirements.
• Work closely with cross functional team for requirement gathering
• Conduct and participate in PCB design review
• Read and interpret Electrical schematics, cable drawings, system interconnects and BOMs.
• Understanding of PCB design Thermal aspects
• Experience with semiconductor equipment industry.
• Basic knowledge on Electronic Components selection and circuit theory.
• Familiar with PCB standards like IPC2221 or similar.
• Document and release Engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management.
• Provides resolution to Design and documentation quality issues, Problem Reports / Supplier Build issues.

Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:

• Very strong in electronic schematic drafting.
• Strong knowledge of PCB layout fundamentals.
• Atleast 3+ years of working experience in Cadence PCB editor, ORCAD capture.
• Proficient with one of the Product Life Cycle Management tools (Document Change and Release Management tools like Team Center and SAP PLM).
• Well versed with interpretation of Electronic/Electrical schematics and Design specifications.
• Good experience in Stack up preparation, Trace width calculation
• Exposure to Signal Integrity and/or Power integrity tool and basic understanding

Desirable Skills:

• Should have good communication and presentation skills.
