Job summary

Idexcel is seeking a PCB Layout Engineer in Chennai with 8+ years of multilayer PCB layout experience. The role requires strong hands-on Cadence Allegro (mandatory) and expertise in high-speed interfaces (DDR4, PCIe, HDMI, USB).

You will synchronize with Hardware, Mechanical, and SI/PI teams to deliver feasible designs and optimize layer stack-up and board size. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electronics and Communications and be ready for immediate joining.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in multilayer PCB layout design.
• Strong hands-on experience in Cadence Allegro (mandatory).
• Experience in Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize multilayer PCB layouts with HDI techniques.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Mechanical, SI/PI teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Define layer stack-up, perform feasibility analysis, and size optimization.

• Knowledge of Altium, PADS, or Xpedition will be an added advantage.

Technical Expertise:

• HDI design techniques, Blind/Buried Vias.
• High-speed interface design (DDR4, PCIe, HDMI, USB, etc.).
• DFX and SI/PI guideline validation.
• Layer stack-up definition and calculations.
• High-density, compact PCB layouts.
• PCB feasibility analysis, layer optimization, and board size optimization.

Coordination with Hardware, Mechanical, SI/PI, and PCB fabrication teams
