Job summary

Gen Group is seeking a detail-oriented PCB Designer to design and develop high-quality PCBs for electronic products in Hyderabad. You will work on layout, placement, routing, and documentation while ensuring compliance with design standards.

The role involves collaboration with hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams, review of designs, and coordination with manufacturers to resolve production issues. Freshers with strong skills are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or related field.
• 1–5 years of PCB design experience (Freshers with strong PCB design skills may also apply).
• Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or Eagle.

Responsibilities

• Design single-layer, double-layer, and multi-layer PCBs based on circuit schematics.
• Create PCB layouts using EDA tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD, or Cadence.
• Perform component placement, signal routing, and power distribution optimization.
• Generate Gerber files, BOM, fabrication, and assembly drawings.
• Ensure PCB designs comply with EMC/EMI, DFM, and DFA guidelines.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams during product development.
• Review and verify PCB designs before manufacturing.
• Coordinate with PCB manufacturers and assembly vendors to resolve production issues.
• Support prototype testing, debugging, and design modifications.
• Maintain PCB design libraries and documentation.

The ideal candidate should have experience in PCB layout design, component placement, routing, and manufacturing documentation while ensuring compliance with design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design single-layer, double-layer, and multi-layer PCBs based on circuit schematics.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in PCB design (Freshers with strong PCB design skills may also apply).
• Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or Eagle.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal PCB design principles.
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with IPC standards and design guidelines.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with high-speed PCB design.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management.
• Understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller-based circuit designs.
• Experience with schematic capture and hardware debugging.
• Familiarity with version control and design documentation.
