Job summary

Option Us in Pune, India, is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to design high-density PCBs, multilayer stackups, power/ground planes, and EMI/EMC-conscious layouts.

The role requires proficiency in OrCAD and Altium, experience with component placement, BOM generation, and fabrication documentation, with strong problem-solving and coordination with mechanical packaging.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PCB design fundamentals.
• Experience with high-density PCB layouts.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and SMT.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout high density PCBs for production.
• Create multilayer stackups and place numerous components.
• Design power/ground planes and EMI/EMC-conscious layouts.
• Create and verify schematics and BOMs.
• Maintain fabrication documentation and decals.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Design and layout high density printed circuit boards (PCBs)

• Design multilayer stackups
• Place high density and high quantity of components
• Design Power / Ground planes
• Focus on design for EM requirement
• Create and verify schematics
• Generate and maintain BOMs and fabrication documentation
• Create and verify component decals
• Maintain standards compliance
• Anticipate, identify, and solve problems independently

Preferred candidate profile

Proficient software knowledge of OrCAD and Altium,

• Understanding of basic electronics, signal integrity, EMI/EMC concepts, Antennas, Power dissipation, IC Packages.
• Perform placement of components and route the signals accordingly.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, SMT lines and soldering methods like Re flow soldering, wave soldering,

Selective soldering etc.

• Thorough knowledge of mechanical concepts and constraints, good coordination with mechanical Engineer designing the outer

packaging of the PCB.
