Job summary

AcumenHR Solutions is seeking a PCB Design Engineer in Vadodara, India, to develop and update PCB designs for digital, analog, and mixed-signal embedded systems. The role involves component placement, impedance calculations, and collaboration with mechanical and manufacturing teams.

The candidate should have experience with multi-layer boards (up to 12 layers), BGA, SMT, and design for manufacturability and testability. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex multi-layer board layouts for high-density boards.
• PCB Layout Design for Digital, Analog, and Mixed Signal embedded systems.
• Experience with up to 12 layers, SMT, thru-hole, and BGA.
• Designs with controlled impedance traces and differential pairs.
• Knowledge of Manufacturability and testability.
• Schematic/PCB footprint libraries per IPC standards.
• Knowledge of layout DRC, signal integrity, EMC/EMI, isolation safety.
• Proficiency in custom placement & routing: floor planning, routing, verification.
• Experience with cross-functional teams (mechanical, manufacturing).
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing new PCB designs and updating existing designs for digital, analog, and mixed-signal embedded systems.
• Perform component placements and determine wire routings considering manufacturability aspects.
• PCB Stack up selection & Impedance calculation.
• Prepare PCB models and verify mechanical outline files with the mechanical team.
• Verify existing designs and recommend improvements.
• Contribute towards test specifications and test procedures and test fixtures preparation.
• Perform PCB design testing and analyze test results.
• Coordination with PCB fabrication and assembly vendor.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and risks.
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
• Propose process improvements to ensure PCB functionality, quality, and reliability.
• Review the Layout for other CAD team members.
• Documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly like Gerber files, fabrication details, and assembly drawings.

• Worked extensively on complex layout designs having multiple layers for high-density boards with engineering limitations.
• PCB Layout Design for Digital, Analog, and Mixed Signal embedded systems.
• Experience with high-density board designs with up to 12 layers andwith SMT, thru-hole, and multiple BGA.
• Designed boards with controlled impedance traces and differentialpairs with matched trace lengths.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and Design for testability.
• Library development including Schematic Symbol & PCB Footprint asper IPC standards.
• Sound Knowledge of layout DRC rules & concepts, PCB layoutguidelines for Signal Integrity, EMC/EMI, and isolation safety.
• Proficiency in custom placement & routing activities: Floor planning,routing, physical verification, etc.
• Experience working with internal and external teams like mechanical,manufacturing, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to bean effective team player with excellent time management skills.
