Job summary

Jobtailor in Ahmedabad, India is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to contribute to end-to-end hardware development. You will design and validate PCBs, generate Gerber data, and collaborate with mechanical and software teams to meet project milestones.

The role requires hands-on experience with Allegro and Altium, multi-layer stackups, high-speed signal routing, and attention to manufacturability and testability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in PCB design and development.
• Hands-on with Gerber data generation and PCB fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand scope and deliver outputs on time.
• PCB design and related activities.
• Release Gerber files, BOM, and drawings with quality.
• Generate and maintain PCB specifications.
• Ensure manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT).
• Design multi-layer PCBs; stack-up derivation.
• Develop component libraries and footprints.
• Modify schematics using Allegro and Altium.
• Create and update BOM.
• Route high-speed nets (DDR3/4, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, CSI/DSI).
• Prepare Gerber data for manufacturing.
• Consider signal integrity.
• Apply EMC/EMI knowledge (nice to have).

• Perform PCB designing and related activities.
• Ensure quality release of Gerber files, Bill of Materials (BOM), and design drawings.
• Generate and maintain PCB specifications.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability (DFM) and testability (DFT) requirements.
• Work on multi-layer PCB design, stack‑up derivation, and constraint setting.
• Develop and manage component libraries and footprints.
• Perform schematic modifications using Allegro and Altium tools.
• Create and update BOM.
• Handle high-speed signal routing (DDR3/DDR4, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, CSI, DSI, etc.).
• Prepare Gerber data for manufacturing.
• Work on signal integrity considerations (preferred).
• Apply knowledge of EMC/EMI standards (good to have).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant experience in PCB design and development.
