Job summary

JPMorganChase is hiring a Payment Lifecycle Specialist IV for its Payments Operations team in Mumbai. You will oversee transaction processing, due diligence, and reconciliation across products, ensuring secure and compliant payments.

The role requires strong communication, proficiency in MS Office, and flexibility to cover APAC/EMEA/WHEM shifts. Prior back-office experience in a bank is preferred; fresh graduates with finance understanding may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Good fresher candidates with Finance understanding of Payments in International markets can be considered.
• Experience in back-office operations of a reputed foreign bank or processing arm/private sector bank/public sector for a year.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Should be flexible across APAC/EMEA/WHEM shift and weekend as required to support the client.

• Adopt best practices by partnering with other transaction processing teams.
• Work closely within the team to ensure all the daily activities and checklists are completed.
• Escalate issues and challenges on time.
• Actively participate in new projects.
• Respond to client services/internal queries in a timely fashion to ensure all queries are logged and resolved within the appropriate time frame.
• Identify and escape issues in a prompt and timely manner which may impact service.
• Strengthen and monitor control environment.
• Ensure all deliverables are completed correctly and issued to clients per timetable.
• Provide timely information to stakeholders and clients on pending requests and possible impacts to other processes.
• Maintain control of the environment in respect of JPMorgan & Chase Co. policies and the local regulatory rules.

As a Payment Lifecycle Specialist IV within Payments Operations, you will play a crucial role in the smooth transfer of funds between various parties. Working under regular supervision, you will help maintain our reputation for excellent service and secure financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include payment processing across various products, such as the transfer of funds between financial institutions, cardholders, merchants, corporate and retail clients, and the reconciliation of purchase and sales options, futures, or securities. This may involve sanctions screening, payment investigations, funds control, exception processing, resolving reconciliation breaks, and invoicing or cash management activities.

• Exposure to AI-enabled tools and willingness to adopt emerging technologies that support process improvement and operational excellence
