Job summary

JPMorganChase in Bengaluru is seeking a Payment Lifecycle Analyst within Payments Operations to help ensure the smooth transfer of funds across products and parties. You will apply automation technologies and systems architecture to process payments, identify issues, and drive improvements.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with Operations, Treasury, Finance, Risk and Technology, manage stakeholder expectations, and implement cybersecurity controls and anti-fraud strategies to protect

Qualifications

  • Cash management experience with minimum 5 years in payments/cash operations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques for insights used by senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial and growth mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity controls and anti-fraud strategies.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and design thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily cash positions to ensure funding and liquidity across accounts and currencies.
  • Forecast near-term liquidity needs using intraday activity and known obligations.
  • Execute funding actions in line with internal guidelines and time-critical cutoffs.
  • Process end-to-end cash flows to support accurate booking and timely settlement.
  • Reconcile cash activity across Nostros/accounts and investigate breaks.
  • Validate booking accuracy and downstream cash movement to minimize risk.
  • Prioritize time-sensitive tasks independently to deliver flawless execution.
  • Partner with Operations, Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Technology to resolve exceptions.
  • Communicate intraday status updates, risks, and actions to stakeholders with escalation.
  • Engage trading desks to align cash movements with desk needs.
  • Improve processes and controls by identifying root causes and driving automation.

As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst within Payments Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth transfer of funds between various parties while enhancing our payment operations framework. You will leverage your knowledge of automation technologies and systems architecture to process payments across various products and parties. Your responsibilities include identifying and resolving issues, making decisions guided by established practices, and contributing to short-term operational goals. You will engage with stakeholders, manage projects, and spur continuous improvement initiatives, building strong working relationships with internal lines of business. Your ability to understand and apply cybersecurity controls, anti-fraud strategies, and data analysis techniques will be key to your success in this role.

Job responsibilities
  • Monitor daily cash positions to ensure sufficient funding and liquidity across accounts and currencies.
  • Forecast near-term liquidity needs using intraday activity, projected flows, and known obligations.
  • Execute funding actions in line with internal guidelines, approvals, and time-critical cutoffs.
  • Process end-to-end cash flows to support accurate booking and timely settlement.
  • Reconcile cash activity across Nostros/accounts and investigate breaks to closure.
  • Validate booking accuracy and downstream cash movement to minimize operational and settlement risk.
  • Prioritize time-sensitive tasks independently to deliver flawless execution under strict deadlines.
  • Partner with Operations, Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Technology to resolve exceptions and unblock processing.
  • Communicate clear intraday status updates, risks, and actions to stakeholders with appropriate escalation.
  • Engage trading desks to understand funding requirements and align cash movements to desk needs.
  • Improve processes and controls by identifying root causes, driving remediation, and supporting automation initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Cash Management Experience with minimum 5 years of experience supporting .
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques to interpret and communicate insights for informed decision-making with senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial and growth mindset to adapt to fast-paced environments and new business initiatives, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity controls and anti-fraud strategies to protect information and systems, and ability to navigate dynamic environments with evolving priorities.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and design-thinking techniques to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Knowledge of ISO or Swift message processing or management.
  • Experience with operations, controls and problem solving related to Payments, Cash, Treasury Operations.

Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes
