Job summary
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Parcel Logistics Sourcing Intelligence Manager to drive sourcing intelligence for global parcel, courier, express, and service parts logistics. This hybrid role reports to the Global Logistics Sourcing team and requires collaboration with Finance, Contracts, Operations, and Digital teams to optimize costs and performance.
You will analyze carrier pricing structures, benchmark service levels, and support negotiations with data-driven insights.

- Deep understanding of parcel pricing elements: zones, dimensional weight, earned discounts, fuel surcharges.

Job description
This role has been designed as Hybrid with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
- Own sourcing intelligence for global parcel, courier, express, and service parts logistics.
- Build shipment, lane, service-level, and market benchmarks for RFQs and negotiations.
- Analyze carrier pricing structures, service offerings, network capabilities, transit performance, and market competitiveness.
- Support sourcing strategies across global integrators, regional parcel carriers, express providers, and specialized service parts logistics suppliers.
- Support RFIs, RFQs, renegotiations, and carrier reviews with pricing, scenario, and cost analysis.
- Partner with sourcing leads to strengthen negotiations through fact-based targets, market intelligence, and commercial sensitivity analysis.
- Evaluate supplier proposals across pricing, service, coverage, technology, and performance.
- Analyze carrier commercial models such as earned discounts, tiered pricing, incentives, rebates, minimum charges, index-based pricing, and surcharge structures.
- Model savings impact from carrier mix, service mix, and shipment profile changes.
- Apply standardized savings and cost avoidance methodologies to ensure consistency, auditability, and credibility across sourcing initiatives.
- Track negotiated versus realized savings and identify leakage risks through structured analysis.
- Measure compliance with negotiated pricing agreements, earned discounts, incentive structures, and contractual commitments.
- Support initiatives focused on reducing transportation spend through optimization of carrier mix, shipment characteristics, service levels, and network design.
- Monitor key parcel market cost drivers including General Rate Increases (GRIs), fuel surcharges, demand surcharges, peak season charges, labor costs, capacity constraints, and regulatory developments.
- Track industry developments across parcel, courier, express, and service logistics providers.
- Assess market trends, carrier pricing movements, network strategies, and competitive dynamics.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable sourcing strategies, negotiation playbooks, and risk mitigation recommendations.
- Support digital sourcing and RFQ processes by defining data, analytics, and benchmarking requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing intelligence through advanced analytics, automation, AI-enabled techniques, and business intelligence tools.
- Develop models to improve service-level performance, transportation efficiency, and total cost visibility.
- Identify opportunities for structural cost reduction, service optimization, and logistics network improvement.
- Work closely with Global Logistics Sourcing, Supply Assurance, Finance, Contracts, Operations, and Digital teams to align sourcing intelligence with business objectives.
- Support executive decision-making through clear, actionable insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Collaborate with logistics service providers and internal stakeholders to improve commercial outcomes and operational performance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on parcel logistics market trends, carrier economics, and sourcing opportunities.
- 8-12 years of experience in logistics pricing, transportation procurement, sourcing analytics, logistics commercial management, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong experience in parcel logistics, small package transportation, courier services, express logistics, or service parts logistics.
- Proven experience supporting RFQs, supplier negotiations, carrier selection, and commercial evaluations.
- Strong understanding of parcel pricing, including zones, dimensional weight, earned discounts, tiered pricing, fuel, accessorials, and peak surcharges.
- Familiarity with service parts logistics, aftermarket supply chains, field service support operations, and time-critical logistics networks is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting technology, aftermarket service, spare parts, warranty fulfilment, or mission-critical supply chains is preferred.
- Ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.
- Experience with sourcing platforms and procurement tools such as Coupa preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics and data-driven decision-making approaches.
- Experience in cost modelling, pricing intelligence, carrier analytics, and service-level optimization.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- Structured, detail-oriented mindset with strong governance and analytical discipline.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed, and fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving capability.
