Job summary

Deepak Phenolics is seeking a Panel Officer Boiler to manage the boiler operations from DCS and ensure continuous availability. The role involves monitoring alarms, executing startups/shutdowns, and coordinating with shift engineers and field operators to maintain safe and efficient plant performance.

The candidate should have 5–8 years of experience in a similar capacity, with BE/B.Tech in Mechanical and strong knowledge of boiler DCS operation and CFBC boiler systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering in mechanical discipline is required.
• Experience with boiler DCS operation and CFBC boiler is essential.
• Knowledge of boiler parameters, interlocks, water chemistry, startup/shutdown procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage boiler operations from DCS control panels.
• Monitor control panel data and alarms; take corrective actions to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Perform startup and shutdown as per procedures and coordinate with field operators and shift engineer.
• Record boiler parameters and data; provide back up to turbine field officer on Turbine DCS when needed.

Job description

Role: Panel Officer Boiler

Reporting to: Shift Incharge - CPP

Purpose: To perform safe and economical DCS operation of boiler, ash handling and coal handling system and ensure continuous availability of boiler.

Responsibility:

• Manage the operations of boiler from DCS control panels.
• Monitor control panel data and alarms, taking corrective actions as needed to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Startup / Shutdown as per operating procedures.
• Instruct and interact clearly with field operators for making necessary changes in the field and co-ordinate with shift engineer, and for proper line up and related safety aspects.
• Record boiler parameters and other necessary data.
• Provide back up to turbine field officer on Turbine DCS when turbine field officer is on field round.

Educational Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech Mechanical

Years of Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in similar capacity

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of boiler DCS operation.
• Knowledge of CFBC Boiler.
• Knowledge of boiler parameters, interlocks, water chemistry, etc.
• Knowledge of equipment startup/ shutdown, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of turbine interlocks.
