GLA University in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, invites applications for an experienced electrical technician to operate and monitor electrical panels across campus facilities. The role requires handling HT/LT panels, breakers, and protection devices while ensuring safety standards are followed.
The ideal candidate has 12+ years of hands-on panel operation experience, knowledge of switchgear, transformers, and DG sets, and a readiness for 24/7 shift duties.
Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th/12th pass.
Technical Qualification: ITI Electrician is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical panel operation.
Panel Knowledge: Basic knowledge of HT/LT panels, VCB, ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, relays, etc.
Switching Knowledge: Knowledge of safely switching ON/OFF and changing over HT/LT supplies.
Electrical Parameters: Basic understanding of voltage, current, frequency, kW, kVA, and power factor.
Protection System: Basic knowledge of overload, short circuit, earth fault, under/over-voltage, and relay tripping.
Safety: Knowledge of electrical safety, PPE, earthing, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and emergency shutdown procedures.
Fault Handling: Ability to identify the basic cause of a panel trip and immediately inform the concerned Engineer/Technician.
Logbook Maintenance: Ability to properly maintain daily readings, switching operations, breakdowns, and maintenance records.
Shift Duty: Must be capable of working in 247 rotational/shift duties.
DG/Transformer Experience: Basic operational knowledge of transformers, DG sets, RMUs, and electrical distribution systems would be an added advantage.
