Job summary

Tekwin Power Systems seeks a field-service electrical engineer to commission, test, and start up electrical panels at client sites, ensuring smooth operation with DG sets, PLCs, SCADA, and related control systems.

You will troubleshoot complex electrical/control issues, perform routine maintenance during AMC visits, and document service reports while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with commissioning electrical panels and associated control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams).
• Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI integration and field service at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning electrical panels at client sites, performing FAT/SAT, and ensuring compatibility with DG sets, PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and BMS.
• Troubleshooting electrical/control system issues, handling breakdown calls, and providing remote support.
• Maintenance on switchgear, wiring, relays during AMC visits, and preventive checks.
• Documentation of commissioning/service reports and updating service database.
• Customer support: train operators, manage complaints, assist Sales with site surveys and upsell opportunities.
• Adhere to safety rules (LOTO) and site EHS policies.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Commissioning Install, test, and start up electrical panels at client sites. Run FAT/SAT tests, coordinate with customers and vendors, and make sure panels work correctly with DG sets, PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, BMS and related control systems.
2. Troubleshooting Fix electrical and control system problems, handle breakdown calls, find root causes, and give remote support when needed.
3. Maintenance Do routine preventive maintenance and AMC (service contract) visits inspect switchgear, wiring, relays, etc., and flag parts that need replacing.
4. Documentation Write commissioning/service reports, keep records of site visits and repairs, and update the service database.
5. Customer Support Maintain good client relationships, train operators, resolve complaints, and help Sales with site surveys or upsell opportunities.
6. Safety Follow electrical safety rules (like LOTO) and site EHS policies.

Skills needed:

• Solid knowledge of LT Panels, PCC, MCC, APFC, DG synchronization, PLCs, VFDs
• Can read electrical drawings (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams)
• Experience commissioning PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, protection relays
• Familiar with Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP protocols
• Knows major brands: ABB, Siemens, Schneider, L&T, DEIF, etc.
• Good troubleshooting, report-writing, and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently with customers
