Job summary

RGBSI in Chennai is seeking a Paint CFD Engineer fresher for the manufacturing industry. Open to 0–1 year of experience with ME/MTech in Thermal Engineering. You will handle design reviews, PR checks, and ED coating analysis to support new model launches.

The role requires familiarity with CFD/CAE basics, CATIA V6, and Teamcenter. Exposure to AutoCAD is an added advantage; limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ME/MTech in Thermal Engineering is required.
• Exposure to CFD/CAE basics is preferred.
• Location is Chennai and candidate should be able to work there.

Responsibilities

• Design Review of styling and design data and providing feedback to design team.
• Ensuring production requirements (PR check) adoption in new model design.
• ED Coating air pocket and draining confirmation on BIW by checking BOX structures and analyzing ED painting simulations.
• Plant side feasibility studies and adopting the new model.
• Direct material cost and project investment studies for new model.
• Design and development of new jigs/slave tools for new model.
• Support new model vehicle trials and implement counter measures for design issues.
• Preparation of process documents like POS, FMEA, control plan.

• Preparation of Process Documents Like (POS, FMEA, Control plan etc.)
• Proving out Process (PTED, Sealer & Topcoat) Parameter for New Model & Provide Counter measure for Non-Achieve Points.
• Responsible for deciding definition of bi-Tone Process. Work for target masking time achievement.
• Candidate should understand the overall paint shop process.

Requirements

• Should have exposure in Software like CATIA -V6 , Team Centre.
• Sound knowledge in automobile paint shop process with special experience in ED, topcoat line, paint mixing room, Repair touchup line.
• Problem solving & defect root cause analyzing ability, experience in control system, PLC, Effective coordination & handling equipment, and paint material suppliers.
• Knowledge on CFD & CAE basics
• Knowledge on Auto CAD will be an added advantage.
